Screen-reader testing with NVDA/Firefox and VoiceOver/Safari, keyboard navigation, color contrast, form labeling, and document structure. Delivered as a prioritized issue list, not a wall of compliance jargon.
Code remediation
I fix the issues identified in the audit — in your codebase, not in a separate overlay or plugin. ARIA attributes, semantic HTML, focus management, alt text, form labels, heading hierarchy. Changes documented so your team understands what was done and why.
Accessibility overlay removal
If your site has an accessibility overlay installed — the kind that promises compliance via a JavaScript widget — I remove it and fix the underlying issues properly. Accessibility overlays are widely considered insufficient for achieving WCAG conformance by accessibility practitioners and researchers.
Conformance documentation
Accessibility conformance report documenting the issues found and fixed, and the site's conformance status against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria after remediation. Useful as supporting documentation for procurement and funder requirements. Delivered with every remediation engagement.
